What to expect.
Upload your bill and insurance paperwork and sign one case authorization during intake. We review the case, contact your provider or insurer, and handle routine follow-up for you. You don’t have to approve each call or next step. If we save you money, our fee is 20% of the savings, as explained in your case agreement. If we don’t save you money, you don’t pay a success fee.
What it costs
Service pricing and case minimum as of .
- No upfront fee.
- Full-service cases require a patient balance of at least $100.
- For smaller bills, the intake offers a free personalized self-service plan without an account.
- Your case agreement defines how savings are calculated, when a fee is due, and any payment arrangements. This page summarizes the service; it does not replace that agreement.
After you send your bill
Submitting your case starts our review and case management under the authorization. We handle routine calls and follow-up, and your dashboard shows progress. Results aren’t guaranteed, and submitting a case does not by itself mean a formal appeal has been filed.
We track deadlines we can identify from the documents you share. Keep notices you receive and add new ones to your case. Submitting a case does not extend an appeal deadline or pause billing or collections.
Before we contact anyone
The case-specific authorization you sign during intake lets us handle routine case work for you. We don’t ask you to approve each call or follow-up. If a provider or insurer requires its own form or verification, we work through it under your authorization and let you know if your signature or information is needed. If you submit a case for someone else, you must have legal authority to act for them.
BillHelp cannot accept a settlement, withdraw an appeal, waive your rights, commit you to payment, change your insurance, or make treatment decisions without your separate approval. The authorization does not assign your insurance benefits or ownership of your claim.
You can revoke the authorization in your case dashboard. The signed authorization explains its scope and expiration.
